About Us

Our History

In 1987, The Center for Sports and Physical Therapy began and rapidly became a major provider of rehabilitation services in the Grant Country area. The Center began to grow and outgrow two different locations with four expansions in the first five years.

In 1988, The Work Evaluation & Recovery Center (WERC) was developed and designed to assist injured workers on recovery and a safe return to work. Occupational Therapy was added to address patient needs vital to their rehabilition.

In 1991, The Center for Sports and Physical Therapy opened a satellite office in Wabash. The Marion office moved to its current location at 4411 South Adams Street in 1992 with a goal of expanding services to meet the needs of former patient and community members  by creating The Wellness Center.
